For more than thirty years Tarazi Specialty Foods, Inc. has been an industry leader in Mediterranean Food Products. Tarazi Inc. officially opened for business in the early 1970’s by the original founder Faraj Tarazi, also known as Fred. Fred owned and operated a fine foods importing company in Los Angeles, California, USA, for over ten years during which he created the Tarazi brand.  

Fred saw an opportunity to develop a premium product and spent many nights in local bakeries to perfect his recipes. Fred received such positive feedback and immediate demand he purchased a facility in Chino, California, to further expand the product line.      

With the help of an engineering firm Fred designed a one of kind production facility that is still used today to produce and warehouse all Tarazi products.

The Tarazi brand is known in the marketplace to set the standard in quality and service as Tarazi Specialty Foods, Inc. is committed to providing the very best in premium food products, made in the USA. 

Currently, Tarazi Specialty Foods, Inc., is owned and operated by the nephew of Fred Tarazi, Nabil Huleis and his daughter Christine, a second and third generation of the Tarazi family.
